This is the Maleluca Altenifolia tree
There are many ways the medicinal effects of this can be utilized. The leaves of this tree are boiled and the oil squeezed out. I have used it extensivly for almost every kind of cut wound or abrasion and the results were always the good, no infection of any kind ever occurred or reoccurred. I have even used it as a solvent on a rusty bolt. Also it is great on bee stings, mosquito bites and any thing else of that nature, The extracted oil is called Maleluca Oil T36-C5.
The natives in New South Wales had many ways to use it, when the got home from battle they would make poultice
and put the boiled leaves on their wounds, for curing with no infection,. they would hold their head over a boiling pot of water with the leaves in it to cure a head cold.
Captain Cook was on one of his voyages in 1787 and saw the natives using the leaves from this certain type of tree to treat their wounds, he was curious and investigated, and discovered the wonderful medicinal properties of the maleluca tree. It was not until 1920 it was tested and medically approved.
